概要:

Cosmoclimatology: How space can affect climate on Earth - evidence in the past and present.

The climate of Earth is being affected by a great number of parameters, both natural and man-made. In order to understand past and futures climate changes all parameters must be well understood and constrained. Cosmoclimatology is the study of one of these parameters, specifically how space may affect climate. In this talk I will present the principles behind Cosmoclimatology. Then I will show some of the prevailing theory on how the mechanism may operate, as well as supporting experimental evidence. I will focus on how aerosol effects and atmospheric chemistry may be changed by the presence of ions, formed by galactic cosmic rays.
